I lately purchased a Samsung PL200 and weren’t pleased with it’s capability to take close-up photos. The issue is it may focus but will not. The car-focus dates back and forth from being perfectly sharp to as being a complete blur, also it always forms on being fuzzy. Basically pull your camera back a few inches it’ll focus, however this clearly defeats the objective of macro mode. Basically may find an excellent camera under $200 with manual focus (in the event that even is available within this cost range), I’d be prepared to consume the 15% restocking fee and obtain another thing.

If there is not an electronic P&S camera with manual focus, does anybody are conscious of one that will a minimum of perform a better closeup than this? http://imageshack.us/f/39/sam0080r.digital/

Attempted it in macro mode and “Wise” (auto) mode and that is the very best I’m able to get. Lights are clearly fine and it is nothing like the lens is touching the floor. It will it’s whole little tease where it focuses perfectly then would go to that blur.

The auto-focus goes back and forth from being perfectly sharp to being a complete blur, and it always settles on being blurry. If I pull the camera back a couple inches it will focus, but this obviously defeats the purpose of macro mode. If I could find a really good digital camera under $200 with manual focus (if that even exists in this price range), I’d be willing to eat the 15% restocking fee and get something else.
If there isn’t a digital P&S camera with manual focus, does anyone know of one that can at least do a better closeup than this? http://imageshack.us/f/39/sam0080r.jpg/

Tried it in macro mode and “Smart” (auto) mode and that’s the best I can get. Lighting is obviously fine and it’s not like the lens is touching the ground. It does it’s whole little tease where it focuses perfectly then goes to that blur.
