I’m worried about how big the carseat during my vehicle, becasue it is around the small/lightweight. I’ve got a Chicco Keyfit 30 inside now, but Need to have it in the center of the rear chair if I wish to possess a passenger right in front chair. Whether it’s around the back right chair, it pushes the passenger chair to date forward that no-one can wallow in it. Trying now to determine what convertible chair to obtain for fit AND safety. Or maybe I simply require a bugger vehicle.
Also, my baby continues to be youthful (9 several weeks), therefore the chair is going to be rear-facing for some time. This changes body within the back chair.
I removed the harness straps completely which I now think was a no-no. There’s also a strap about a foot and a half long with a small metal piece at the end which I have no idea where it belongs. :/ Please tell me I didn’t break the thing.

Okay, I have looked at many many car seat online and at the store. I have read tons of reviews, and I think I have decided to buy the Britax Roundabout. I read some reviews where people were complaining about the Britax Marathon crotch strap (that holds the buckle) not being long enough, and I was wondering if any of you had the same problem with the Roundabout. I looked at it in the store, and the strap seemed kind of short, and I don’t think it had the ability to be adjusted. I was wondering if anyone who owns this seat could let me know if they have any problems with it. I just want to double check before I spend $220 on this seat. I was thinking about the Evenflo Titan also, but my infant seat was an evenflo, and the straps always got twisted, and the Titan has the same sort of buckle system. However, the Evenflo seat has the ablity to adjust the crotch strap.
Does anyone know if this crotch strap adjusts like the Britax Decathalon?
Okay so I was planning on ordering my daughter a Britax Roundabout 50 car seat today from target. Well I got on Britax’s website and it says they are coming out with a new line that are supposed to be safer but not until mid August. We are planning a trip next weekend and I would like to go ahead and have her new car seat since she has grown out of her old one and it would make me feel better about the trip.
So I guess what I’m saying is should I go ahead and order her the Britax Roundabout 55 today so she can start using it asap or wait and her not have a new one for a month and not have it on the trip?
Also it only RF to 35 pounds which I was concered about, but I dont know of any other car seat that is as safe and that will fit in my small car.

I have a Chevy Aveo which is a pretty small compact car. I know the britax roundabout is smaller than the roundabout 50 but they don’t have to color I want and I like that it goes to 49 inches because my daughter is tall. Also they don’t even carry the roundabout at babies r us just the roundabout 50 for only $199. Will this fit in my car or does anyone have a small car and have this car seat?
I’m just putting my 6-month-old in his new Britax Roundabout & the lower straps are across his thighs; I would have expected them to be across his waist. The manual doesn’t have any pictures of children in the seat. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong?
